In the 80’s, fragrances were made much differently. The unapologetic longevity and performance is all the proof you needed when determining the quality of one of these exceptional fragrances. One such fragrance released in 1988 is Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent. This classic masterpiece is a woody aromatic offering, and it features notes of lavender, oakmoss, tobacco, and leather. Most fragrances of this era shared a similar olfactive makeup, but the quality in the original formulations is incomparable. For this reason, we purchased a bottle of the vintage formulation in order to reconstruct the scent. The Blue is inspired by Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent, and our inspired expression features all of the same long-lasting earthy, herbaceous, musky, and woodsy notes. The base of leather and tonka bean adds exceptional long-lastingness for a fragrant experience that seems interminable.
