In honor of this 40th anniversary, Amouage has created two releases, Cristal & Gold Man and Cristal & Gold Woman to honor this milestone.
The 40th anniversary editions of perfumer Guy Robert's Amouage Gold Man and Amouage Gold Woman, both updated by perfumer Alexandra Carlin and presented in "the highest quality crystal, made in the original moulds and hand-blown reality in the workshops of the High Cristallerie haven of Waltersperger in the heart of Normandy, France".
This exclusive limited edition looks back to another time in Amouage’s illustrious history. This is a rare offering of 500 bespoke bottles, made of the highest quality crystal, and featuring gold-plated, sophisticated detailing. It is worth mentioning that these pressings are from the original molds, and hand blown in Normandy, France by the renowned cristallerie Waltersperger, so this is the closest you’ll ever get to owning the original design.
The reformulations are the work of perfumer Alexandra Carlin. Carlin has done her very best to pay proper tribute to the original formulas of these two perfumes, created by Guy Roberts. The intent was to transport you back to the birth of the House of Amouage, and further, to the cradle of perfumery, the majestic lands of the Sultanate of Oman.
The presentation is spectacular. Cristal & Gold features beautiful bespoke lacquered wooden cases, created and assembled by the artisans at the Amouage manufacture in Muscat. These boxes are further embellished with a dusting of fine gold powder, providing a beautiful atmospheric visual effect.
To be released in December, the limited 500 bottles are available at $1,950 each.
