REQ GUERLAIN'S CHAMADE

  • Could I perhaps suggest an inspiration of Guerlain's "Chamade"? The vintage stuff more than the recent revival. I loved my DUA Vintage 1933, based off Vol de Nuit and I got a small vintage vial of Chamade a few months back. I would love to see a DUA interpretation.

Although it appears that Narcissus may not be an official note. the accord is very evocative overall of Narcissus, even to 'authorities' like Luca Turin.

  • @Narcisse Hello, this is Hifza from Team Dua. We welcome you to our Forum!

That’s a fantastic suggestion, thank you for sharing it in such detail. Vintage Chamade is truly special, and we love the way you described its narcissus-like character, especially through the lens of the older formulation rather than the modern revival. Your mention of Vintage 1933 and its connection to Vol de Nuit really resonates with us as well.

You’re absolutely right that narcissus isn’t always listed as an official note, yet the overall accord is incredibly evocative of it, many respected noses and critics have noted the same, Luca Turin included. That kind of nuance is exactly what makes these classic compositions so compelling.

We regularly pass along inspiration ideas like this to our creative team for consideration. While we can’t promise anything specific, suggestions rooted in vintage perfumery and thoughtful analysis are always appreciated and taken seriously.

Thanks again for being part of the discussion and for your continued support of DUA, we love seeing this level of passion in the community!🤗
