As one of the true perfume houses in the world, Guerlain has received God-tier status in the community. With hits like Shalimar and Mademoiselle, Guerlain can do no wrong in our eyes. A holy-grail fragrance within their catalogue is the vintage 1919 formulation of Mitsouko. This classic perfume is considered by many to be their life-long obsession and ultimate signature scent. Unfortunately, with the composition being over 100 years old, it has become quite difficult to find a vintage bottle at a reasonable price. Even then, it’s nearly impossible to find one that has remained in tact and has not turned. Luckily, we have managed to find a bottle of the vintage formulation from 1919, and it is truly heaven in a bottle! This euphoria-inducing composition is a fruity chypré filled with natural floral notes and spicy cinnamon. The oakmoss in the base is also natural and conveys an earthy tone. With this being such a classic, we couldn’t think of a better name for our inspired expression of this masterpiece. Classic is our version of the original formulation of Mitsouko Extract by Guerlain, and it is sure to be a trip down memory lane. For those who have owned the original and are disenchanted over their inability to once again find a bottle, Classic is surely calling your name!
