Tom Ford took a huge creative risk when releasing Noir Anthracite. While fans of Noir and Noir Extreme will flaunt their allegiance to this day, Noir Anthracite took a much darker turn! This gothic and brooding composition features peppery nuances and smoke from birch. Spices and patchouli add to the darkness, and there is little light in this tunnel of darkness. Very much like the hue of the sedimentary rock known as coal, the tenebrosity of the fragrance is haunting to say the least. Despite the gloom, there are many who adore this fragrance, and its discontinuation was upsetting to them. Fortunately, we have now released our inspired expression, and we have decided to call it Coal of Dua. Sichuan pepper and ginger in the opening spice things up before resins and abundant woods create the olfactory twilight in the heart and base. Patchouli is earthy and enduring in the finish. Coal of Dua is here to stay. We can’t wait to hear about the spark that this one will create for you! Embrace your dark side!
