Holy Grail

Holy Grail-Dua’s interpretation of L’Iris de Fath which is said to be a modern interpretation of the Legendary Iris Gris. One thing I know is true, I’ve always dreamed of smelling the most beautiful Iris fragrance ever made, by the House of Jacques Fath. Holy Grail was one of the very first high priced fragrances I purchased from Dua once I discovered Dua’s masterclass interpretation of Guerlain’s Patchouli Paris. Bravo! I thought that if they could blend a spot on Guerlain I surely wanted to know how their version of L’Iris de Fath smelled. Whether or not it’s spot on or a very close interpretation of L’Iris de Fath, I’ll certainly never know, but I do know that Holy Grail is not like any other Iris scent I’ve ever smelled. It’s wonderfully fresh and bright with a mystical almost translucent floating Iris softness & floral delicacy that shares a lovely sillage within your perimeter. I’m incredibly pleased with this fragrance and will be getting a backup bottle soon. If Iris is your “Note” this would be an excellent addition to your collection, with a cool background.

This is absolutely gorgeous and will be in my Top 10 for sure. The iris is beautiful, if you love iris or orris scents then this is so worth the price. Can’t believe I didn’t try it sooner.

I have another iris gris remake and I have to say, this one is really nice. The best part about it, however, is how strong it is and how long it lasts. It’s waaay stronger than the other one I own. It’s not perfect though…it still smells loaded with iso e super or whatever. It smells like a modern remake. But maybe that’s why it lasts so long. I’ve never smelled the original either, but I’m rather sensitive to modern fixatives. Regardless, I’m giving it 5 stars. I’d love to see more vintage recreations (cough - nuit de noel - cough).

Yes, Iris! Comes close to the Dua "Fire Element" (Chanel Misia imitation). This one on the mildly sweet iris and that latter the bitter kind.

IRIS- in all its splendor. I am in awe. This is possibly the most beautiful thing I’ve ever encountered. Like a cashmere blanket. However, I do warn! If you are not an Iris fan look elsewhere. It’s all about the Iris and its facets. Just beautiful!

😲😲😲 Whoa. This is special. I'm a guy, it's very feminine but I only bought it for the experience and just to own it in my Dua collection. I have many of the more expensive ones like Dawn, Dusk, Gold Label, etc. I'm glad Dua tackled this one!

Centered Around Iris I have no problem with Iris or Oris, but this one, on my skin, smells of a dirty, musky Iris , which could be unisex. It just isn't right for me.

Powerful stuff This right her is some powerful stuff. Literally after spraying. I go nose blind to my other frags. Idk what is in this but that one hell of a scent. Smelling it itself to me it smells quite “odorless” like I don’t know what to compare it to. It’s definitely unique to say the least. Also to those men scared to try this don’t be. It isn’t feminine. I feel like it’s mellow & sophisticated to be quite 50/50 on the unisex side. I hope this helps y’all get your nose on this gem.

Iris Love Love Holy Grail. Iris is one of my fav notes. When it is done well it is remarkable. I find HG to b a lovely and soothing frag. Warm and cool, spicy and sweet, a perfumers love. Holy Grail rivals Iris greats like Irisss and Silver Iris Mist.

Exquisitely Beautiful This is something like nothing I’ve ever smelt before.. I thought there could be a possible light leather note but I bet it’s the orris.. It’s hard to explain, it’s not bright fruity, it’s barely fruity, tiny bit of peach, tiny bit of spice all smoothed over by.. I can’t describe it... It is The Holy Grail!

A Risen Unicorn One thing that attracted me to DUA is they resurrect unicorn or legendary fragrances. Im a vintage expert, and Fath's Iris Gris is a rarity in collectors circles. Chasing vintage fragrances is an extremely expensive persuit. DUA brings us an affordable rendition of classics and the ability to wear them newly minted. Bourbon vetiver keeps this green and fresh, then the attack of the 50ft iris happens in all its glory and a stunning carnation/spicy heart that ends in a whisper of peach to introduce the drydown. It gets better with age. Bravo Dua...keep bringing us vintage unicorns for us sentimental fragrance enthusiasts

Holy grail Wasn’t sure about this one so I got the sample bottle. OMG this one is the way to go!!! My personal favorite. Yes it’s a little on the feminine side but I have yet to get any complaints. It’s worth every dollar. I immediately order the full size bottle and it’s on the way. Can’t wait for it to get to me

Bubble Licious 🛁 Good day ladies and gents I bring this review to you all by way of a decant sample from smells and suds. This scents influenced my in interest because of the history that’s so iconic in the fragrance community. I myself I no idea what this smelled like. I just couldn’t bring myself to purchase a bottle, thank GOD for smells and suds. The option to purchase a sample was so instrumental in my first hand experience with Holy Grail. First of all this is just my opinion so, don’t take it the wrong way fellas. This is clearly made for a woman, just not any woman but, for someone with class and dignity. A man shouldn’t want to smells so bubbly and floric. Great fragrance for a lady not some becoming for a man. I wore it soon as I got it, it gave me about five hours before turned into a skin scent. I realized that I couldn’t swing it after that day, I passed it on to my mother who absolutely loves it. It’s not overwhelming at all, just light enough to catch somebody’s attention, if your a female. Dua has always got the job done and I see others below approve. Has for me it’s a great scent just it’s for me, the four stars come from the fact that I can’t wear it. I extremely recommend for every woman reading this or thinking about Holy Grail to go ahead and buy it. It’s a marvelous fragrance masterful job Dua. This has to bottle number sixty something for me. Dua Fan for life I’ve signed the contract 😂 Thanks again👏🏾

Lipstick and make-up I got my bottle today. Mine was a blind buy as well. It is definitely more to the feminine side. Initialy I got a blast of lipstick and make-up smell. But then it turned into an intense powdery floral. Ideal for winter, autumn, early spring or a very windy day of the year. I has somekind of a romantic flair.

Blind bought this as a result of drag reviewer Okay, Holy Grail is unlike any fragrance I have ever put my nose on. It is BEASTLY! One spray is one too many for work. Projection is insane, as is longevity. HG opens with a prominent lipstick scent mixed with a mellow spiciness. The spiciness dries out and what is left is a very strong lipstick scent (iris) that leans more feminine for my tastes. My wife loves it, and so do I, but not on me. I’ll let it ripen in a dark cupboard for a month or two then give it another go.

Holy Iris, Batman!!! HOLY GRAIL – Holy, Holy, Holy Iris, Batman!!! This stuff is POTENT. Go easy at initial spray and you will be rewarded with one of the most buttery, creamy, and starkly real Iris notes your nose has ever come across. It has a STRONG makeup vibe, but is VERY different than the iris in fragrances like Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense. Those, while beautiful, lack the depth of iris and tame it down. Holy Grail celebrates iris in every way. This is Iris flowers, peach/rose, a makeup vibe, and a quietly dirty vetiver round out the composition to my nose. It is masterfully blended.
