Inspiration: Insense (Vintage Formulation) by Givenchy

When it comes to vintage designer fragrances, there is one that has amassed a cult following. This fragrance came out in 1993, and it is called Insense by Givenchy. This aromatic fougere fragrance contains notes of lavender, basil, mandarin orange, and clean white florals. The masculine quality of the blend transformed it into a signature scent for many men who were looking for that versatile fragrance to accompany any occasion. After several decades, the fragrance has still maintained its popularity, and it is now one of the most sought after designer fragrances on the market. Unfortunately, the fragrance has been reformulated ad nauseum, and the current formulation does not hold a candle to its 1993 predecessor. This is the main reason why we began our quest to recreate it, and our inspired expression is called #Emotional. The nostalgia with this one is certainly strong, and that’s why it makes us emotional. It conjures up memories from decades past, and it was a time in our lives when our worries were not as grand as they are now. The brightness of lemon is tamed by the smoothness of iris and the clean nature of magnolia. #Emotional is a blast from the past that you can’t live without!
