Like a statue of the son of Poseidon, Antaeus is a fragrance to admire and revere. The rich history of the blend is something we can all hold in high regard. This composition from 1981 is arguably one of Chanel’s best. It’s hard to find someone who does not see the masterful effort that was made in composing this classic, and it has been a favorite of ours for several decades. Antaeus is a woody chypré fragrance that is spicy, fresh, animalic, green, and floral. The French labdanum in the base is exotic, and the jasmine in the heart is spellbinding. To create the ultimate recreation of this fragrance, we knew that we would have to target the vintage formulation. Acquiring a bottle was very expensive, and the rest was up to our talented and IFRA- certified chemists. After many months of work, we received a Blast From the Past! This is our version of the vintage formulation of Chanel’s Antaeus, and it is everything we could possibly ask for in terms of the smell, accuracy, performance, quality, and more! If you recall the power of the original formulation of Antaeus and you wish to experience it again, be prepared to experience Blast From the Past!
