The northwest portion of England is where the town of Cumbria may be located. Cumbria is admired for its beautiful landscapes, serenely flowing lakes, and lushly green mountains. Parfums de Marly’s Carlisle may be described similarly. With a varied landscape of exalted apple and settled patchouli, the olfactory landscape is curved and arced. Gently flowing rose makes its appearance from the warm and fruity opening to the sweet and earthy dry down. The verdant nature of the fragrance is present from the green apple in the opening to the viridian patchouli in the base of the composition. Our version of Carlisle is called Cumbria, and it is the perfect olfactory representation of this beautiful town in England.
