Inspiration: Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette (Vintage Formulation) by Chanel.

To commemorate the 10th year anniversary of the release of Bleu de Chanel, we knew we had to do right by Chanel’s fan base and release something nearly identical to the original from 10 years ago. As I’m sure you as the reader knows, Chanel has released several iterations since the inception of the original from 2010. In the past decade, both an eau de parfum and a parfum version have been released. In addition to that, the original eau de toilette has endured several reformulations that have chiseled away at the formula until it has whittled down to a tenuous and flimsy version of itself. We here at the Dua collective have decided to resurrect this classic by securing a bottle of the vintage formula and then allowing our professional and IFRA-certified chemists to work their magic. The end result is Bleu de Dua: our version of the vintage formulation of Bleu de Chanel from 2010. The initial smell of incense and grapefruit will transport you back to the previous decade where modern fragrances had lasting power and were unapologetic in their essence. Vetiver and cedar in the base create the perfect office fragrance. Also, we knew that sourcing the right jasmine and patchouli would be crucial to recreating this iconic fragrance from 2010. Vintage bottles are selling on auction sites for around $400. Why spend so much when an identical formula in Bleu de Dua will grant you the same smell?
