With a name like “berry” in French, the smell of this fragrance retains its ambiguity. Of course, the note breakdown is much more revealing than one would think, and Juniper Berry is the star in today’s show. Not to be confused with Baie Rose 26, Baie 19 is a newer release that is focused on juniper berry, patchouli, ambroxan, and green leaves. At times both earthy and fresh, we can see (or smell) the appeal in this one particular composition. Musk and ozonic notes add an airiness to the fragrance in order to break apart the density of the perfume. All in all, 19 unique ingredients work together to create all of the distinct phases of this admired fragrance. Based on the reviews, i was very excited to receive my order. I sprayed it on my arm and that really lovely smell of the original hit my nose instantly and fell in love. I would say its about 90% clone, with the only difference being that the original has a slightly sweeter opening. After about 10 mins it smells exactly the same and lasts a very long time on me. The ability to spray several times and not feel guilty makes this a go to purchase. 100% satisfied with this clone.
I’ve been trying out a lot of duplicates for Baie 19 and this one is very similar. I would say though, compared to the original it has a significantly stronger juniper scent, more so than the berry. It gives off more of a “cedar” vibe than the original. It’s good if you’re looking for a more masculine version of the scent, and adds a certain depth to it. It’s not the “petrichor” vibe I’m looking for but it’s still a good fragrance.
This is the one. I’ve tried all the main dupes of Baie 19 that I’ve worn for 5 years (yes I spent that kind of money). This is 85% of the way there, and for the price that’s satisfying enough. It has the addictive ozonic bitterness mixed with the berry sweetness, and that green note (NOT FLORAL) smoothness that is nostalgic. This is the one I’ll be getting in the future.
This smells exactly like the Le Labo one! It also lasts so much longer than the original. I love this perfume so affordable as well!
Perfectly nailed this one! Its my favorite and i really wanted a less expensive version, the others i tried didnt come close. This one is fabulous!
Smells like the real deal
I have a discovery size of Le Labo Baie 19 so I was able to do a true side by side comparison, and it really is about as close a match as you can get! I think the only slight discernable difference is that Dua’s has a teeny bit more of a woodsy scent to it, maybe a touch more patchouli? But hardly noticable. Now I understand why this one is always sold out!
Great Fragrance. Very close to the OG. It’s light, fresh with a à great trail. It lasted 8 hrs. On me. Looking forward to wearing it on a rainy day. I’ve ordered many times from Dua and have only been disappointed once. I do buy mostly the Originals both Designer and Niche. My purchases from Dua are the hard to find or discontinued fragrances. I think their prices are fine and they are always have some sale. I recommend this Fragrance and Dua Brand.
I have the original from Le Labo but it was a small bottle that ran out and I didn’t want to pay for a larger bottle. Glad I found it here because it’s so unique and earthy and last for hours. You won’t find anyone smelling like this which is why I love it so much
I was able to obtain the genuine Le Labo Baie 19 before buying Dua's version. For me Dua's version is about 85%-90% similar to the original. The main difference, in my opinion, is that the original has a gritty, earthy, beach-sand backbone that stays with it for a long time. Dua's version starts off with that same gritty element but it fades away much quicker. With both versions I do get the essence of dried, stale fruit & berries which is not my favorite part of the fragrance. Overall, this is still a great "inspired-by" version.
Comes off as a sweeter, comforting scent. Not really citrus but on the verge of it. Unisex for sure and to me can be worn year round.
Petrichor I had a candle years ago called River Rock. It was a promo and never put in full production. I have been searching for that scent ever since and only recently discovered there was a name for it. When I first heard about Baie 19 I had to get a sample from the source and it did not disappoint This is my favorite Le Labo scent and this dupe does not miss.
There is very little difference compared to the original. After about an hour, I can no longer smell it. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not still projecting based on the compliments I’ve received 4-6 hrs later. If you’ve smelled the original, don’t waste your money. This will last longer as well as save you money.
Classic Summer/Fall masterpiece if you are tired of the usual citrus/mint/boring blue fragrances in the summer, this opens all new doors. This is not a delicate expertly crafted double consomme...This is a chunky unapologetic stew...done well. It heats up with you. I think this one really evolves depending how my day goes. If I'm inside it stays cool. If I'm in the sun sweating it gets a little wild. "It's alive!" This is a truly unique, masterpiece, manly and mature summer aquatic which is one of the kind so far in the mass aquatic fragrance market. This is for the man that are dare, mature and enjoy uniqueness.
cloudy day with the sun trying so hard to peak through i got at least 11 hours out of this one. the opening smells literally like fresh rain, some effervescence, earthiness. Imagine this....Imagine standing next to a damp forest with water rushing. The skies are partly cloudy, the weather is 70 degrees and there are some pine trees surrounding you. Take a huge deep breath, and just imagine the air is crisp and pure mixed with the earth and trees. The dry, earthy, peppery patchouli, I got a slight sniff of the "ozonic notes" and it made me smile. I am not sure I get much more than the patchouli as of now, but I can tell you there is more going on.
