FAQFAQ
Like the finest Cuban cigar that's made its way over to Miami, 28 Shades of Tabacum is sweet smoke chased with a shot of rum. Booze swirls its hypnotizing aroma from the rum-soaked cedar barrels that once contained the spirit. The tasteful gentleman is self-assured, and 28 Shades of Tabacum is the perfect match. Our inspiration of Tabac 28 is a brilliant blend of notes that can be enjoyed outside of Miami. It's also worth noting that Le Labo has city-exclusive fragrances that come with a much more substantial price tag than their standard line of scents. We bring down the price and we amp up the concentration to extrait de parfum strength. We long for holidays in Miami, and we take solace in the fact that 28 Shades of Tabacum is our vacation in a bottle. We invite you to book your getaway today!

The main ingredients used in our fragrances are: Alcohol Denat, Aqua (Water), Parfum (Fragrances), Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Hydroxycitronellal, Isoeugenol, Linalool, 4-Hydroxyisohexyl-3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Alpha-Isomethyl, Ionone.
It shares the lounge-like warmth of Replica Jazz, while also appealing to those who enjoy Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford or the textural depth found in Le Labo creations. As a Maison Margiela Jazz Club dupe, it feels smoother and more intimate than many louder tobacco perfumes.

Overall rating: 4.3 / 5 from 12 reviews.
I’ve spent some time wearing this next to Le Labo Tabac 28, and it’s definitely close. I’d put it around 90% similar overall.
The biggest difference is the opening. The DUA comes across a little sharper and slightly more chemical at first. Give it about 15–30 minutes, though, and it smooths out a lot. Once it gets into the drydown, it gets much closer to Tabac 28.
You still get that dark, smoky tobacco style I was looking for, and that’s really where this one delivers. It’s not a perfect copy from the first spray, but after it settles, the resemblance is strong.
For the price and how close it gets, I’m very happy with it. If you like Le Labo Tabac 28 but don’t want to pay Le Labo money, 28 Shades of Tabacum is absolutely worth trying.

Le Labo Tobacco 28 is my favorite fragrance of all time, but it’s so prohibitively expensive. Because of that I find myself hesitant to reach for it. The one at perfume parlor is dead on from the first spray, but does not last and the dry down leaves a lot to be desired. Because of that I went to the Dua offering with not much to go on since a lot of the reviews haven’t smelled the original sent… and there aren’t many reviewers out there testing its similarity. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s definitely a Middle Eastern take on Le Labo tabac 28. Where tabac 28 has a fresher, brighter, almost “breathy” backdrop- the Dua offering has much more of a resinous incense-forward depth. You can clearly tell they are one and the same, but the dua one will be mostly suited for a cool/cold evening where Le Labo’s could be a touch more forgiving. Part of me prefers it over Le Labo… just part of me.
This scent smells nothing like the original. The opening has a harsh and metalic chemical smell followed by a jarring hit of synthetic tobacco and cedar. The dry down then leaves you smelling like incense and nothing like the smooth rich woodsy tobacco smell of the original. Truly a regret and miserable buying experience.
so good but doesn't last long enough
the smokiness of this is so heavenly! Too bad it doesn't last very long on my skin. i wear it before bed, and by the time i woke up, i can no longer smell it. I hope Dua make a dupe of Patchouli 24, because the smokiness with vanilla added will be divine!
Amazing !!!
I've only sampled the original at the Le Labo boutique. I took a gamble on this one and all I can say is wow! My wife loves it, and she's not one to like many fragrances I own. Buy this, dont hesitate.
Unbelievably close
I have been a fan of LeLabo fragrances for some time and the Miami City Exclusive is unparalleled in my opinion. However, it does not fit into my budget as father. I started doing research and found Dua’s interviews on YouTube. Their founder earned my trust and I decided to give this alternative a go and bought a sample from duasamples.com. True to some of the other reviews the initial notes are a bit rubbery much like a bandage. This disappears within 15 minutes giving way to a a DEAD-ringer of a scent. Pleased and will buy a bottle ASAP.
Montale Dark Oud
This fragrance isn’t bad, but it smells like Montale’s Dark Oud, Not Tabac 28. I enjoy Dark Oud so this isn’t a complete loss, but don’t purchase thinking this is close to Tabac 28.
Agreed ⤵️⬇️
I couldn’t have said it better than my man Kyle down below. I don’t know Kyle at all but, he took the word right out of my mouth. When I read his review I was totally shocked because he described 28 shades to the T. Great job Dua outstanding review Kyle thank y’all both. This fragrance works for me and the longevity is more than appreciated. Due keep em coming. ☑️💯
A Different Take on Tobacco
This is a smooth fragrance, nothing really sticks out. It's a nice masculine fragrance without being overwhelming. The rum and guaiac wood make the tobacco and cedar smooth. It's well balanced and easy to wear.
Raw tobacco gives way to beautiful smokiness and woods.
Anything that Dua creates which is inspired by Le Labo, I will always order. 28 Shades of Tabacum does have a slight band-aid/play-doh note in the very early opening which segues into a wickedly beautiful, smoky (but also bright) aromatic cardamom! A rich, raunchy, raw, invigoratingly bold tobacco which mellows to something sinfully sexy, while also beautifully woody (reminds me of Comme des Garcons Sequoia). I don't know how Dua does it, but they have indeed, captured the Le Labo DNA that is consistent always throughout all of Le Labo perfumes. Great job. Spray this one, heavily. It's amazing. It just gets better and better, the longer you wear it.
