Amazingly Spot On! So I went to a local high end department store and smelled the original MFK Amyris a week ago. It was amazing but I wasn’t dropping hundreds on dollars on it. Did some research and found out DUA made a clone of that fragrance called Boomski (lol weird name) so I decided to go for it. Ordered on a Friday and received the package on a Wednesday. And I just sprayed it on. Omg, I literally cannot tell the difference! If you’re hesitating buying this what are you waiting for!
Amyris Homme vs. Amyris Homme EDP Ok, so I haven't smelled Amyris Homme EDP (AH EDP), and agree w/MIKE G, $325/ 70ml I'm cheap.... As result, I made Amyris Homme (AH EDT) one of my favorites. So, I purchased this expression with hopes it would be maybe 80-90%... I recieved it, sniffed it, let it sit, sniffed it again.... MIKE G: - I'm a little stunned because.... First, know this....Boomski IS NOT... AH (EDT) and shares more of a note break down that of AH (EDP). Did a comparison and BOOMSKI has the added rosemary to the cinnamon, and saffron of (AH EDP) with removal of vanilla and no rosemary, coconut, coffee, or "da coco" found in (AH EDT)..... BE WARNED... And to be fair, It is not advertised as one or the other, just Maison Francis Kurkdijan Amyris Homme.. nor am I an expert, but this is not the (AH EDT) version. Combination between the two, maybe...? Am I upset I have the $375 (AH EDP) inspiration, with exceptional performance, ABSOLUTELY not.....! Is this a compliment banger.... Of course it is, I tell myself I smell Greeeeaattt ALL "D" time..... Maybe dua will do a series called "MASHUPS"... Take the best profile from all EDT, EDP, EDP, P, etc. (elixir?, maybe) and MASH EM UP=MASHUP!
Homme vs. EDP They got me! 1st things 1st this smells amazing, but not the version I was looking for!!! I immediately added it to my shopping cart because I liked the MFK AH travel size so much! When I recieved my order, it was not what I remembered the MFK AH to be. Closer look at the note break down this is Dua's take on MFK AH EDP version and not the MFK AH version. Comparing the 2 this does not list the following notes as rosemary, coconut, coffee, chocolate, etc. (MFK AH). the for the EDP version.
Good Lord Ok, so Amyris Homme Extrait is one of my 2 favorite fragrances, but at $325 for a 70ml bottle it's a bit steep. So, I got this when I saw it released and usually my expectations for these inspired expressions is that they will be maybe 90%, but smell great and in most cases, perform better. I got this yesterday and sprayed it on my arm - I'm a little stunned because those Mahsam does such a good job with inspired expressions, I don't usually get one that's spot on to the point of likely not being able to tell the difference. So first off, know this....Boomski smells more like Amyris Homme Extrait than it does Amyris Homme EDT - and I guess that's to be expected as it's an extrait concentration. Amyris EDT doesn't perform on me, so I stopped buying it, but the extrait does and so does this. the proof that this is spot on....my wife is hard to please when it comes to fragrance - 80% of what I have she dislikes, but she loves my Amyris Homme Extrait and compliments it every single time. So when Boomski came I put a few sprays on and said nothing, within 5 minutes she said "what is that smell", I said it's a new one I'm trying, she said "I freaking love that". If you like Amyris, this is a no brainer - it's MORE than 95% close. This one is exceptional, truly.
Very fresh Very nice fragrance, the opening is awesome but the drydown and the sillage is amazing.
