The glints of the jewels set into the emperor’s throne catch our attention and shimmer in the ample light of the commodious hall. Everyone stands at attention, and, like a statue, is kept petrified without the slightest provocation. The emperor rises, and all eyes shift to capture his movements. If there is one fragrance that commands such attention, it is a masterpiece from 1989 called Tsar. This Van Cleef & Arpels fragrance is a legend in the industry, and we needed to honor it by recreating the vintage formulation of this masterpiece from more than three decades ago. Emperor’s Elixir is our inspired expression of Tsar, and it is a masculine blend of lavender, herbs, spices, and green notes. The virility of the composition is made obvious through strong tones of oakmoss and pine, which both keep the fragrance grounded and manly. A touch of smoke comes from leather and class comes from carnation. The smoothness and elegance of the blend is something we have been craving for the longest time. I was using Tsar by Van Cleef and Arpel for close to forty years. As you can tell, I absolutely love it. Throughout those years, I have gotten compliments on that fragrance from both men and women. I would buy several bottles at one time to make sure that I never ran out. When I heard Van Cleef and Arpel discontinued Tsar, I was extremely disappointed. Since its departure I tried numerous other colognes but none even came close to the scent of Tsar until now‼️ Dua came out with Emperors Elixer so I thought that I would try it as it stated it was a dupe of Tsar. I originally ordered (3) bottles to test the scent. (3) because it was a discounted price). Dua Brand communicated with me throughout the process. My order arrived quickly and it was securely packaged. When I first tried it, it was UNBELIEVABLE‼️ They captured the scent of Tsar exactly. I couldn’t be happier and if you were a Tsar lover, you will be too. I only wish Dua Brand would come out with a 3.4 oz. size in the future. I loved it so much that I bought (6) more bottles of it‼️I am completely thrilled and thankful that Dua came out with Emporers Elixer. They now have a life long customer. Great company to do business with‼️
This is more of a prayer/request in the form of a message… First of all thank you to the DUA team for all the hard work of putting these fragrances out there. I enjoy reading the descriptions and appreciate the art of each individual bottle. I was inspired once again by one of my favorite scent-entertainers, “biggest in the game" our uncle CubaKnow. My curiosity has been sparked and I’ll be on the lookout for the restock, thank you once again, you have a fan for life.
I have half a bottle of the original and use it for special occasions, now I can wear my favorite scent all the time. I was very skeptical but after the first squirt I felt home! I have worn this scent for 25 years and was sad when it was discontinued but now I have my favorite scent back! Smells exactly the same!!
Blind buy for me having never smelled Tsar. I love this scent. It reminds me of classic shaving cream smells. To me its the smell of my man in a freshly pressed shirt, fresh shave and shower, and hair pomaded back. I can't stop sniffing him when he wears this as its not too overpowering and has no overly spicy or allergy-poking elements to it.
I am very satisfied with my purchase. I used TSAR Van Cleef and Arpels back in the 90's and it became my favorite fragrance. Since it was discontinued, it is practically impossible to find a bottle that is not over $300. I saw a video o. YouTube that recommended the DUA replica (Elixir) and decided to buy it. I am so glad I did! I have a bottle of the original and I really cannot smell the difference. Definitely recommend!
I've tried A LOT of "we can match your cologne" providers in the USA and beyond. Nobody has truly captured the smell of TSAR like DUA. I'm glad I ordered 2 bottles because it's the ONLY thing I wear. They'll have me as a forever customer. No need to reach out or research anyone else.
I love Tsar and have been hoarding the last few sprays in my vintage bottle because I didn't want it to be gone. Now that I found this Emperor Elixer I'm all set. It is to me exactly the same and I couldn't be happier! Great copy!!

Happy to find something very similar, starts off a bit strong but after a couple of minutes, identical! Wish it came in bigger bottles and a source in Canada. With our low dollar, shipping and duty, its quite pricy but very happy. It has brought back some good vibes.

Emperor's Elixir is a welcome replacement for the discontinued Tsar.
The opening notes are slightly different but pleasant. The dry down is so close that the only way to detect a difference is to wear my horded bottle of Tzar and smell my shirts side by side. PLEASE RESTOCK SOON MY BOTTLE IS GETTING LOW.

This is my second purchase from DUA after having such a positive experience with my initial experience. If you are looking for Tsar, which has been discontinued, this is as close as you are going to get. I had searched for quite awhile and I am glad I found this replacement for an iconic fragrance.

Tsar Reincarnated!
I have been a user of Tsar for a very long time and was disappointed when it was discontinued. All replacements have fallen short in my attempt to find a product that could replace my go to fragrance. I even tried a company that attempted to duplicate Tsar and it wasn’t even close. Dua has captured the Tsar DNA. Comparing the product to some Tsar I still had, they seem the same. If there is any difference it would be so minuscule that it would be no different than a fragrance reformulation that occurs over the years. As far as I am concerned, I have found Tsar.
Lastly. There was a challenge with the delivery of the product and Dua past with flying colors. In a time when companies claim to provide great customer service and then fail to deliver, this company faced that moment of truth and surpassed expectations.

Not quite a "barbershop" style fragrance, but it does have a soapy, maybe creamy feeling Along with green, herbaceous notes. It's not a common type scent today, you will stand out from the pack with it. Old school "locker room fresh" 80s style, strong on the pine, but elevated with niche note-quality. Very mean and very green. For lumberjacks or mature mobster-shiek urbanites. Glad to have a bottle for sure.
