This fragrance is like stepping back in time where what you wore and smelled like really mattered. A wonderful masterpiece of a fragrance to make you feel upscale and determined to set your mind on the things you want to accomplish. Two sprays of this beautiful fragrance has lasted me into the next day. Totally worth the price and if you are looking at getting into the “old school” fragrances, do yourself a favor and purchase this delightful fragrance!

This stuff is phenomenal really close to the Extrait version last all day thank you DUA no disrespect to the original version or the Extrait version at Houbigant but DUA makes it affordable for everyone to try these fragrances and they smell 99% the same and for that I thank you 😊
Thank you for having this and other gems in stock / in your catalog. I tend to bend the rules when it comes formal/casual scents. This is absolutely a suit+tie frag for me. Gorgeous!
This is for 30+ Crowd Just to put it out there, this isn't a young man's scent. This is a classic barbershop scent. This isn't meant to be a "panty dropper" or a "compliment beast". This is meant to compliment a freshly groomed gentlemen in a professional or upscale setting. It's a beautiful scent and has great longevity. It would be hard to explain the appeal of this fragrance to someone with a youthful nose.
Elegant This is a grown up man’s cologne. When my son spritzed it on his arm, he said “nope, not for me”, but his dad said “ yes, very classy”. This smells like old school shaving cream, and barber shops. It’s a very “green” fragrance. It’s classy, manly, and elegant. I can’t see a situation where this scent would be out of place. You can wear this to a place of worship, dinner, or playing a game of golf, and you will not offend anyone. You will smell like a gentleman.
I get it now My nose has adjusted and the ingredients have meshed. This is classical. You will have to transport your thinking to a time before present day. This, to me, is as niche as you can get for an fougere. Now take that with a grain of salt because I only own about 6-8 fougere. It is certainly more mature and less up-to-date as some modern fougere's. Don't let that stop you, though. This belongs in any collection as an ode to a different time.
This will have to grow on me At the moment, I think the fragrance is ok. I don't think its a maceration issue. I just don't understand what this fragrance is trying to do. Is that crazy? I think my nose needs time to understand what the fragrance is trying to convey and I think that will take time. I will come back if and rewrite a review if my thoughts change!
Unfortunately, I’ve never smelled the original. However I love fougere fragrances and this is a great one. The opening is has a bit of citrusy sweetness powered by a green mildly floral and warm spicy heart, with a classic musky+woody+oakmossy base. The sweetness is very mild, this is a more green/woody/musky fougere. The musk in this fragrance is mildly animalic. The animalic quality is in no way dirty, or barnyardy. It just feels like a fairly strong clean amped up musk. This is similar to the animalic musk in Gravitas pour Homme by Naughton & Wilson, which I personally prefer to this. However, this is a great fougere. Longevity feels pretty good, around 6-8+ hours, especially if it rubs on clothes. Projection is decent, but fougeres are generally designed to be understated.
