After the success of Opium for women, Yves Saint Laurent released Opium Pour Homme in 1995. This fragrance became an instant hit, and fans of the perfume fell in love with the vanilla, star anise, and pepper combination. This warm and exotic perfume was both sensual and seductive. However, the years have not been kind to it as it has been reformulated several times. The longevity has decreased throughout the years, and the quality has dwindled as well. Thankfully, we got our hands on a bottle of the vintage eau de toilette version of this fragrance, and after many trials and errors, our inspired expression is now complete! Impulse is our version of Opium Pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent, and this amber spicy fragrance is warm and sweet. Hints of black currant in the opening are fruity and musky. The balsamic richness in the base is long lasting and hypnotizing. With our fragrance being an extrait de parfum, the longevity of our recreation will blow you out of the water. One need not be intoxicated by opium in order to feel the mesmerizing quality of this aroma. You have an Impulse to experience a blast from the past, may this be your top choice! Top of the Food Chain. For the Pursuer only. I wrote a review, but I fear it was too provocative. Let me cut to the chase. This is Opium for Men as you have never smelled it. I loved Opium when it came out, but this is not it. This is in a different galaxy. It will knock your socks off, and it's erotic as f. When I smell this I am transported back in time 25 years. Those were glorious years, and when you wear this, if you want to be with me in 1995, this will do the trick. I promise. This is a stunner. ps I don't smell any coca-cola vibe? And this is a man's scent. Don't get confused with the name Opium. This is all man. It's not for cuddling and it doesn't have vibes. Will the real Apex stand up?

My mistake I was rushing to put in my order, I was buying 3 bottles, first time ever ordering from them, ( I have had the popped cherry which I absolutely loved) I don’t know what I was thinking, I seen the word Opium, and immediately got excited thinking it was a Black Opium version, and it’s not, the one review says, this is definitely a man’s sent, but a strong woman could pull it off! Call me strong! Let’s see if I get as many compliments as I did with the popped Cherry!

What a Beautiful Creation I got a sample of Impulse with a recent order and I was just blown away. In my opinion, this has an amazing "Coca-Cola" note that's spicy and sweet with a pleasant warmth provided by the bourbon vanilla. It also reminds me of PS Fine Cologne by Paul Sebastian. They are not the same by there is a similarity. Like they come from the same family. How I missed this one is a mystery to me. How no one has written a review on this classic is also a mystery to me. This is for men all the way but a super confident woman could pull it off. Just know you're missing out if you haven't gotten your nose on Impulse. This stuff is "class in a bottle".
