Why does no one seem to talk about this? It’s a perfect rendition of Byredo Eyes Closed. Imagine sipping on a mug of ginger tea while carrot cake is baking in the oven. The notes of carrot, cardamom and cinnamon fill the air, warm and comforting. Ahhh, but on skin this isn’t gourmand…it has all the elements of a spiced gourmand without the sugar, somehow. The papyrus adds a smoky, resinous depth…earthy but not animalic. This is unusual, bordering on eccentric but yet not so artistic that it’s difficult to pull off. It’s GORGEOUS, hypnotizing and always puts me in a great mood. Try a sample if you can!

Introspection

The description and notes are what drew me in with this fragrance, particularly the carrot note. As the Fall of 2025 season began, I started looking forward to wearing my darker, richer fragrances and when I saw this Byredo clone, I knew I had to have it…and it did NOT disappoint! It is a warm, cozy, cuddly, introspective fragrance that feels like an internal hug of that makes sense lol. The carrot note plays so well with the rest of the composition, creating this very unique vibe. That’s really what it’s creating for me: a vibe that I can keep revisiting. Interestingly, there was one time I was wearing it while eating dinner, which was pork chops with a side of lentils, and the spices used in the food was harmonious with the scent itself, it was one of those moments where it all came together perfectly.
