Late Night Venom
Inspiration: Midnight Poison (2013 formulation) by Christian Dior
While fans of Dior’s fragrances often cite Hypnotic Poison as a favorite, Midnight Poison certainly has its cult following as well! As it turns out, there is a multitude of fans who claim allegiance to this exotic rose and patchouli fragrance, and the disappointment set in following a reformulation. With its release dating back to 2007, it didn’t take long for the company to change the formula and weaken it enough that the fragrance becomes indistinguishable. Luckily, we have sourced a bottle from 2013, and it possesses all of the power and virility of the original! We almost didn’t send a sample of this one to the factory because we love wearing it so much! However, our analysis was ultimately for a better cause because we now have our own version of this masterpiece, and we have chosen to call it Late Night Venom! A bright and flavorful citrus opening lends way to a combination of oriental rock stars. Rose, patchouli, amber, and vanilla make up the rest of the composition, and the image evoked is one of a confident, sexy, and powerful woman who is not willing to settle or take no for an answer. We can already sense the venom coursing through the air as we get decadent aromas of rose and vanilla that stop us dead in our tracks! If you’re a fan of the original formulation of Midnight Poison, you must own Late Night Venom! Make sure to get your bottle while supplies last or you’ll get bit!
