I’ve never smelled the original, but this iteration is so bright and refreshing. The green apple, white tea and just a hint of lemon are most prominent at the moment. When the condensed milk, red berries, yeast and vanilla start to settle in, I have a feeling this will be a bottle that gets emptied quickly.
I'm a huge apple girly, so I'm hoping to get most of the apple forward Dua's - this is one blind buy I do not regret!!
Hoping this improves after resting. The apple and lemon are quite sharp at the opening for the first half an hour. I wouldn't say it gets creamier, but it gets muskier and less sharp into the drydown. I definitely don't get any of the condensed milk or yeast, which is what I was looking for (a creamy apple that isn't spiced/cinnamon/autumnal). I'll give it some time, but currently not impressed.
