This scent is a classic fougere that I have been longing to experience as I love to smell different from the mainstream scents. Looking forward to other ‘inspired from’ scents like Royal Portugal or possibly Eucris EDP from Geo Trumper.

While many fans of the house of Creed are aware of Tabarome Millesime, there was actually another Tabarome creation that preceded its younger successor. This fragrance is called Vintage Tabarome, and it has been “vaulted” for many years now. This is Creed’s way of suggesting its discontinuation, and so many fans of the scent have been scouring the internet in the hopes of finding a bottle at auction that is actually selling for a reasonable price. As of this moment, there is a bottle selling on a popular auction website for $7,000! That is beyond reasonable for all sane people, so our inspiration comes in to share the magic of this classic fragrance with you! Our inspired expression is called Origins of Tabac, and it is a chypré fragrance unlike no other! The tobacco is very natural smelling, and the touches of pepper and oakmoss add class and distinction to this fragrance! A base of amber and sandalwood creates the complexity while the tobacco leaf lingers for the entire life of the composition. This one is awesome if you like classic gentleman type fragrances. It lasts about 6 hours, so it has decent longevity. It smells amazing if you like this kind of scent profile.
I was looking for something similar to Tabarome, which I have and is my favorite of the 60+ scents I own. This was nothing like that. It more closely resembles Creed's Original Vetiver, which I also own an original. On the dry down, it's hard to tell them apart. It's a good perfume. Strong. Lasts long. Its mature. Not for young kids. Overall, a good perfume.
Surprised I bought a sample of Origins of Tabac with trepidation. I have worn Creed Vintage Tabarome, a favorite, for several years and am now down to a drop. I have contacted Creed and they will not make any more. At first spray I thought it was a bit sweeter but at dry down it's the closest match I have ever found. I am very satisfied and glad to have found it. Well done.
I of course havent been able to get ahold of the original. But ill say this is a very well done cologne. It last 10 hours on my skin. It cpuld be a daily use but its cozy too. Good stuff
This IS the fragrance if you want the UNICORN of Creed FirstFirst off I want you to know that most people DO NOT have the vintage tabarome to compare this fragrance against. I am very fortunate to have scored a very small amount at a very high price. I wanted more of this vintage tabarome but there simply WAS NOT any left. So I purchased this thinking it will be another waste of money. when I sprayed this for the firs time I WAS Floored!!!! This is spot on. I don't work for DUA nor am I being compensated in any way .THIS ROCKS!!!!!!! Unbelievable
Well, what can I say... I possess an intact decant of the original and Origins Of Tabac is actually really f'n good! If you're like me, you'll wonder if this may be a fake review. It's not but nothing I can do about that, I guess. Still highly recommended to try this one out, if you ever wanted to own Vintage Tabarome.
Churchill If it isn't 5 star to me I don't review it. It's said that Churchill himself wore the 1875 version, and this is based on the 2010 re- release, so we're twice removed from the OG, but still the closest thing most of us have to experience the highly reviewed Creed. I'm not normally a fan of tobacco scents and I really like this. I'm just imagining Winston in his chambers, cigar and whisky nearby, contemplating the future of Britain and the free world in the 1940s, leading the charge against the Nazis, and leading his people to victory.
