I can’t compare it to the original because it’s long gone but I think this smells just like it! It also lasts about 5-6 hours maybe more but I might have just gotten nose blind to it after a while. I had some friends smell it and they recognized it right away so if you’re looking for August but don’t want to pay over $200 for an old bottle I think this is the best option!
Please please restock! It’s my favorite scent and I’m out! Next time I’m definitely buying a few at a time! 😭

So I must admit, one I purchased this like a year ago, I wasn’t in love with it, so I ‘rehomed’ it. In August it was restocked, & I decided to give it another try. So glad that I did, finally a citrus fragrance that doesn’t lean masculine. It’s bright, citrusy & perfect for this season!

I have an old bottle of August and Beach Please from Hollister and I promise this is a PERFECT dupe. I get compliments EVERY TIME I wear this. Okay, I was nervous to buy this because there were some comments on Reddit that said this wasn’t a good dupe, but I figured for $33 over Black Friday, why not... it just got delivered TODAY and I just put it on. As someone with 2 bottles of the original August for comparison, I can tell you that those people are nose blind or don’t have a clear memory of what August smells like—I know exactly what August smells like because I still have it. This is a really, really close match - like 90-95%. Maybe ever so slightly less spicy/musky/intense. I will gladly purchase this again over continuing to shell out hundreds of dollars on eBay August. So glad to have found it!!!
This is the closest dupe to Hollister August that I've come across. It smells lovely and nostalgic. When I first put it on I wasn't noticing the similarities - however about 5 minutes after I felt like I was transported with the beautiful soft fragrant scent. Definitely some masculine notes in there. I love this perfume! Please continue making it !!!

I have searched all over for Hollister's August, even writing to the company begging for them to bring it back. So you can guess my excitement when I came across this. I have a bottle of the real stuff from Hollister. I almost used it up until I heard it was discontinued and there is still a few milliliters left at the bottom that I use on extremely rare occasions to preserve it. Then I found Party in August and ordered some to try. Pairing them side to side, I would say at first spritz, I got a little disappointed that it smells different, but when I sprayed it on my skin, my body chemistry made up the difference after a few minutes and it is almost an exact match to my nose. Hollister’s August was one of the iconic fragrances my daughter wore in high school. When it was discontinued we both were heartbroken. 😢 No amount of begging Hollister to bring back August worked. One would think due to it’s popularity Hollister would bring it back…Not according to corporate, once discontinued, it is gone forever. 😭 I recently found this site by accident! Took a chance and ordered Party in August….what can I say but Thank goodness for Party in August!
