My first impressions of this fragrance was horrible, so obviously I left it alone for a while and now it smells much better.

This fragrance from 2021 is an amber vanilla composition that is gently spiced with cardamom and made exotic with touches of myrrh and styrax. This incense-rich base transports the wearer to a mysterious destination when the richness of the land around us is evoked clearly and enticingly through the sweetness of vanilla and the creaminess of sandalwood. Animalic influences of civet and castoreum create the rich duality in the base and guaiac wood complements the sandalwood in the most synergistic manner. Its ok, nothing spectacular IMO
Touched by an Angel, is possibly good fragrance, but for right now I'm going to leave it alone for a month or two to allow it to get better..
Really nice thick vanilla fragrance with some spice. I'm enjoying Pierre Guillaume fragrances a lot recently. This is no exception. I knocked off a star because the DUA version took months to be wearable.
Touched by an Angel is really nice but it took months to get to this point. When I first got it, it smelled like dirty water from cooking hot dogs. Very specific but I'm dead serious. Now it's a beautiful vanilla resinous thick amber fragrance. Lol. I don't know how it transformed over four months but it did and I'm glad I held onto it. So weird. Anyway, if you want to wait a few months for a fragrance to mature, this one is for you. Lol
Similarly balsamic from the balsam and styrax as Magnetic Moon and with the same lactonic green herbal spice of the cardamom as Magnetic Moon amplified by the balsam, but the latter is alot more woody with a smoky effect and the vanilla is subtle and prominent at the later drydown, while Touched by an Angel is more vanilla-infused and sweeter also less woody with a fresh musky unisex feel from the civet leaning masculine at first and more musky-sour at the later drydown. The guaiac wood makes it smoother in the woody element and adds to the leathery effect of the castoreum since guaiac can have leathery nuances. This and Magnetic Moon are both weird, same league to me and the lactonic balsamic effect is clashing with the green element in both especially in this one, but they make sense at the later drydown when they become smoother. The drydown is slightly leathery from the castoreum but not like gasoline, like cistus is usually. The myrrh also adds sweetness and it makes this more sweet than Magnetic Moon.
I love this fragrance . Smells creamy a little spicy , maybe even a little smokey . It’s so comforting and projects well , can’t stop sniffing my wrist ! Would def buy again !
Smells exactly like the original! I adore a une madone by Pierre Guillaume. I bought a FB after getting a sample of it with a purchase from another retailer. It's one of my favorite scents - I'm a huge collector of niche perfume and the original lasts a good long time. PG was working on the duality of vanilla. Sort of a maonna/whore concept with pure and "dirty" vanillas. There are definitely little animalistic elements in this. I love it but some may not To me the notes I get are a natural vanilla not like vanilla cake at all. Not sickly sweet at all. I also get so much lactonic and rice here. It's like rice crispy cereal with a vanilla bean in it. Sweet only from the milk. 10/10 I'm hoping the Dua lasts even LONGER than the EDP because it's an extrait. The EDP lasts 12 hours. Great buy
Sweet, lactonic cardamom and vanilla I have not smelled the inspiration but this is very milky to me. The milkiness is creamy and sweet like CSP’s Matin Calin but the added cardamom makes it warm and relaxing. This is one of my favorites.
I love it. But I'm wait something more animalic like the original
Cardamom heavy Never tried original… This is more cardamom than vanilla. Not very strong.. I’m hoping as it sits it will get more potent and the vanilla will come forward more because the cardamom here isn’t creamy, it’s more aromatic.
Manly vanila bomb I have never been a huge fan of vanilla based fragrances but this one is different. This fragrance is a long-lasting and unique fragrance that becomes masculine with the added civet and castoreum. Good buy.
