FAQFAQ
Henry Jacques is one of the most respected French perfume brands. The brand's perfumes use some of the finest natural essences to create an unmatched olfactory experience that is guaranteed to set you apart. One fragrance, Blue Vanille, is one of the most intoxicating vanilla fragrances we have ever smelled. With notes of tobacco, vanilla, and cardamom, this vanilla perfume is complex and multi-faceted. Geranium and white musk create the clean, floral, and herbal interplay to add personality to the already exotic vanilla. With a fragrance this exquisite, it's accompanied by a very lavish price tag. A 75ml bottle sells for $741, and availability of this opulent perfume is limited. Not many people can afford or are even willing to pay so much for a perfume, so this is where we cater to you with our specialty. Our inspired expression of Blue Vanille is called Vanille De Azur, and we made sure to not compromise on any of the ingredients of our inspiration so that our recreation is as accurate as possible! A medley of spices is softened by geranium, and the tobacco and vanilla combination is classy and mysterious. Vanille De Azur is the ultimate fragrance to satisfy your vanilla cravings!

If.. you want a semi sweet smoky-nutty cardamom vanilla this is it
If..you want something to layer with amouage's Guidance this is it
If..you want something stronger than the OG this is it
Vanilla De Azur (VAD) is pretty much a 1:1 with the OG except VAD is stronger so you wont have to worry about this turning into a skin scent. Make sure you do enough sprays though. The Vanilla has this this 'sandish' nutty and a snicker bars vibe as it reminds you of the caramel creamy nuget inside! There you go Bro!
SLP Rating
Sillage-Outstanding Crisp & clear. you can really smell that milky vanilla and cardomom
Longevity-8+Hours. Smell lingers all day. Quality of oil is pristine and clear
Projection- Although the OG is a skin scent, VAD Projects great for first 2 hours and reduces in projection 10 % after that so the quality is evident in this creation. It projects well all day. Go for 10-12 sprays for daily wear, more for dates. This is definitely a sexy fragrance so night time is the right time with this
Wow, i have a sample of the original and this is SPOT ON!! The only difference is the dua expression is much stronger! Wow, this has easily become a favorite fragrance, backup bottle worthy! Signature scent worthy!! Absolutely in love, thank you
Stunning!
Wow, i ordered 4 duas to try out the house, all inspired expressions of other fragrances, and this one i have not smelled the original, however i am thoroughly impressed with the composition and it is my favorite of all the fragrances i bought.
This is an excellent vanilla, but there’s something in the base that is so alluring, and absolutely gorgeous! I am well pleased with my purchase
I like it but I find that it's very close to Tobacco Vanille than Blue Vanille. If the spices were toned down, then I would say this is the perfect vanilla scent. From a distance, it smells like Blue Vanille but if you sniff close up, you'll get Tobacco Vanille. Overall a good purchase for me.
Very unique
Not what I expected. I thought it would be warmer, kind of a not very sweet spiced and woody vanilla.
But the geranium, to my nose, adds a freshness that I really, REALLY, like. I do smell the spices and woodiness but they're more toned down than I had anticipated.
The notes are pretty much what you get here but the quantities are what make it interesting. The only drawback is that this is a subtle performer. Which is fine, you don't always need to be obvious. Sometimes a scent is good to draw someone in.
Very unisex but I think some people, particularly women, who are looking for something more feminine may be disappointed.
Truly a piece of beautiful art
Wow, I can’t even find adequate words to describe this fragrance. It’s beautiful, it’s spellbinding, sweet, but not cloying, very rich and sophisticated. I can see why people pay huge sums of money to smell like this. Luckily we have DUA team to make it attainable for us to experience. Just a stunning piece of perfumery art!
Vanille de Azur versus Sultan by Royal Crown
Both Sultan and Vanille de Azur have vanilla and sandalwood, touched by floral. Although similar notes these are fairly different.
Sultan’s Madagascar vanilla is more powdery vs VdA’s mellow vanilla bean. In addition to sandalwood S has cedar and agar wood (oud), which are sharper and more prominent than VdA’s sandalwood base. Re the floral touches, neither has a lot either way. VdA has some geranium and S has some Rose and Jasmin. The florals are not stand out notes- just present to soften the edges.
Sultan has a bit more going on w additions to the above of dates, labdanum, Myrrh and saffron whereas VdA has tobacco and soft spices. You might think that Sultan has tobacco but, this is the cedar, oud, and labdanum creating a “smokey”, fireplace accord.
Both are excellent. IMO, VdA is more subtle and restrained, relying on a small group of notes. Sultan is a louder statement with vanilla held up by heady notes of cedar, labdanum and oud plus other. Both are unisex although the cedar, labdanum and oud may push Sultan into unisex-leaning masculine. Particularly when side by side, Sultan seems more fireplace smoke vs VdA’s soft spice tobacco. VdA seems more languid while Sultan is more edgy. These are not redundant. I reach for both depending on my mood and day.
Can’t wait to see what Mahsam Raza does with Sultan. He surely did a nice job w Vanille de Azur.
Minimalist, elegant, unisex vanilla
First impressions: warm spicy, slightly dark, and dry vanilla. Cardamom, tobacco and woods notes add depth, mild spice and character to an elegant vanilla. Geranium softens the edges of darker notes without becoming “too floral”.
I can see why this is so popular with both men and women. A true vanilla bean scent, this vanilla is NOT OTT, or overly powdery, bright, lemony, syrupy, or buttery. The effect is a somewhat dry, soft-spiced woody vanilla note that steals the show without trying.
For me, the frag brings to mind elegance and chic minimalist style. The man or woman who wears VdA is effortlessly cool, and doesn’t need a ton of words to say something meaningful. There’s something mysterious, and slightly aloof about the frag and the wearer, maybe the one that got away?
Perfect
BV is my all time favorite fragrance. Needless to say I was over the moon when I saw Dua doing it. Just got it today and I can say with absolute certainty that I no longer need to spend $90 for 10ml decants of the real stuff. This is so close I’m not sure I can tell the difference. This is a must buy. I wear it year round in Phoenix. Probably safer for winter if you’re concerned about that kinda thing. Thanks Dua!!
